Apple OS X 10.5.6 Update Breaks Some MacBook Pros

Newscloud writes "As PC Mag reported last week, Apple OS X 10.5.6 can break some MacBook Pros leaving some users (like me) with a dead backlit black screen after the Apple logo appears. ADOdb Active Record and the art of redesign

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Looking forward to the new year as I expect to be a father in January :)

Let's now talk a little bit about the parenting and the past: Since 2006 ADOdb has supported Active Record, the object-oriented paradigm for processing records using SQL. One of the most powerful features of Active Record is the ability to define parent-child relationships.

Last Major Supplier Calls It Quits For VHS

thefickler writes "The last major supplier of VHS videotapes is ditching the format in favor of DVD, effectively killing the format for good. This uncharitable commentator has this to say: 'Will VHS be missed? Not ... with videos being brittle, clunky, and rather user-unfriendly. But they ushered in a new era that was important to get to where we are today. And for that reason, the death of VHS is rather sad.
