It’s very common to feel stressed and overwhelmed as the holidays end and we gear up to get back to work. We spend months shopping, planning and letting our excitement build for the holidays. Then we enjoy a too-quick celebration and some time off, and before we know it, it’s time to head back to work. Regardless how much time you took off, it usually doesn’t seem like enough, and it can be difficult to feel completely refreshed when vacation comes to an end.
If you’re a creative, your folio could mean the difference between your winning or missing out on a job.
Folios represent your work; like a product sample, your folio makes a clear statement about your skills. It also says something about the kinds of work that interest you, the clients who put their trust in you, your creative process, and how committed you are to quality output.
With the new year having started, it's always fun to look back at the previous year. Something I've done before in previous years. 2009 for me was one hell of a year, both in the positives and in the negatives. It means lots of conferences, but also a forced change of job. Let's have a look at this year.
