ILOG announced that its graphical visualization offering for Adobe Flex, ILOG Elixir, is shipping with feature and sales channel enhancements. ILOG also announced that the product will be made available to Independent Software Vendors (ISV) for OEM use through ILOG’s sales and support organization. En effet, Zend Framework utilise ses propres classes, méthodes et librairies pour ajouter des fonctions qui n’existeraient pas dans votre Framework de base et fonctionne donc de façon indépendante. Vous pourrez ainsi manipuler les dates et heures, lier des fils RSS et interagir avec les API de Google même si votre Framework de base n’incluait pas ces fonctions.

Google Sites Launches, Using AJAX to Include Gadgets, to Mixed Reviews

Trumpeting it as the filling of ‘a key last hole in the Google Apps suite,’ Matt Glotzbach, product management director for Google Enterprise, heralded the arrival of Google Sites - exclusively available in Google Apps - but early reactions have included industry bloggers who are not overly impressed with Google’s use of AJAX despite its claim to make ‘Building a site…as simple as editing a document, and you don’t need anyone’s help to get started.’

This package can be used to cache data in files or other types of containers.

There is a factory class that manages driver classes that implement the access the actual access to cache containers.

The driver classes can store arbitrary data in containers given a cache data identifier and cache group name. Cached data may also be retrieved or removed explicitly.

Currently there is one container driver class that stores and retrieves cached data from files.


Researchers Expose New Credit Card Fraud Risk

An anonymous reader writes “Researchers from the University of Cambridge have discovered flaws in the card payment systems used by millions of customers worldwide. Ross Anderson, Saar Drimer, and Steven Murdoch demonstrated how a simple paper clip can be used to capture account numbers and PINs from so-called ‘tamper-proof’ equipment. In their paper (PDF), they warn how with a little technical skill and off-the-shelf electronics, fraudsters could empty customers’ accounts. British television featured a demonstration of the attack on BBC Newsnight.”

Critical VMware Vulnerability, Exploit Released

BaCa writes “Core Security has issued an advisory disclosing a vulnerability that could severely impact organizations relying on VMware’s desktop virtualization software. It involves directory traversal using VMware’s shared folders, and could allow an attacker access to the host system from a guest VM. Core also released an exploit for the vulnerability.”
