Ten Free Futuristic Style Fonts For The Web From Typekit

I’ve written several times about Typekit and how it’s dramatically changing the face of web typography by offering an increasingly large library of fonts which can be displayed on the web without using Flash or alternative images or any other jiggery-pokery. In the past, I’ve also written about different categories of type, so in this post I’m looking at some of the typefaces that are loosely labeled “Futuristic.” The ironic thing about these futuristic fonts is that many of the look quite retro, but they can be fun to use (sparingly) in your designs.
All of the fonts featured here are from the Typekit trial library, so if you’re just dipping your toe into the Typekit world and want to play with some fonts these are free when you sign up. You can read more about the pricing plans here.  (Please note, when I was testing these on the site, anti-aliasing was turned off, so the text looks a lot rougher and more jagged than it actually displays in the browser.)
